 How much are vehicle advertising costs? Promotion: No fee to list your used vehicles for sale.As a private seller you can list your vehicle free of charge and there are no added fees for videos.
The number of private ads is limited to 3 vehicle listings per member. This is only to protect our users from curbsiders who are selling cars outside the law.
Dealers are offered special yearly packages for their entire stock. Please contact our sales division to arrange an appointment.
How should I price my car?
Before deciding on the price, it is important to check how much other buyers are asking for similar vehicles. Other things, such as mileage, condition, additional equipment could also be a factor. If your car has been on the market for an extensive period of time and hasn't attracted a lot of interest, try to gradually adjust your asking price. You can also refer to our Appraise My Trade -in to get an estimated wholesale price for any vehicle. That however, may not cover the possible damage and repair on the vehicle.
How can I create more interest in my vehicle?Publishing your vehicle on YouCarz.com empowers you to create maximum exposure and tell your best story. Take a video of your vehicle and speak your heart out. Let the buyer know about all the good features and be honest. To increase your vehicle's visibility, provide as many pictures as possible, up to 25 photographs. If you are shooting a video, have a look at YouCarz Sample Video as a guide. Vehicles with a video clip and/or multiple pictures have a drastically higher chance of being noticed. Try to supply as much information as possible in order to ensure that the potential buyer knows about the features that your vehicle has
Here are some good things to include in your ad if applicable:
"Original owner", "special features", "condition of the vehicle", "low milage on the odometer", "service records", "no accident".
What if I want to edit in my ad or change my price after I submitted it?If you made an error or simply want to adjust your price, upon registration you will be provided an access password to view all of your listings and make necessary changes.
Why do you need my email address?
Your email address will be used to identify you on YouCarz.com. You will also be notified of potential interest in your ad through your e-mail. That is in addition to the notification through the message board. YouCarz.com will not send you any emails unless you request information from us. We do not sell or lend any email addresses to third parties. Click here to view our privacy policy.
A car I had saved in My Favorites disappeared. Where did it go?
YouCarz vehicles sell quickly. If a car is sold or becomes unavailable, it will remain in your My Favorites list, but marked as Sold. After five days, the sold car will no longer appear. You will be able to search for that make/model again with a link provided for you.
What can I publish?
You can publish your desired text, multiple photographs and/or video featuring your vehicle. You can upload up to 25 pictures and one video per vehicle. Please review the fallowing tips on pictures and videos.

YouCarz.com offers you a visually rich and compelling way to sell your vehicle and it is easy to use. Our user generated community is the best place to find tips and advice.
How do I upload videos?
If your video file is under 100 MB, the easiest and fastest way to upload a video is to use our web-based up-loader. Uploading from the web-based up-loader allows you to view, share, and post your video instantly. However, please note that your video will not be playable until it has been processed.
How do I make a video?
Use a device that can capture digital movies, such as a digital camera or camcorder. Most digital cameras now have video recording capability. Have a look at YouCarz Sample Video as a guide to creating your own sales video.
How long does video upload/processing take?
That depends on the user’s internet connection and the size of the file. For average home users with broadband connection, the upload speed is roughly 30KB/s. If the file is 30MB, then the time it will take to upload the file is: 30MB x 1024KB/MB / 30KB/s = 1024s = 17 minutes.
For most users with broadband report it is under 10 minutes.
How do I edit my video?
If you really need to edit your clip, you can do that by using editing software. Most computers have editing software already installed, such as Apple iMovie or Microsoft Movie Maker. With these programs, you can easily edit your videos, add soundtracks and change the file type.
While editing makes your video appear more "pro", we encourage users to keep their clips as unproduced as possible. This allows the prospective buyer to get a more 'life like' view of the vehicle.
How long/large can my video be?
Videos being uploaded on Youcarz.com must be under 3 minutes long or less than 100 megabytes in size. The longer the video is, the more compression is needed to fit the required size. In doing so you can simply use editing software, such as Microsoft Movie Maker or Apple iMovie as mentioned above.
Why should I compress my video?
Often when the video size is relatively large, uploading time may become tiresome. If you want to avoid any hassles or longer than anticipated uploading time, compressing is the way to go. Essentially, it simply makes the file smaller and more easily transferable.
How do I compress my video size?
5 Steps using Microsoft Movie Maker:
1. Drag and drop the video into the main storyboard.
2. Then, drag the video from the main storyboard onto the timeline below.
3. On the left panel, click “Finish Movie” to open the menu. When the menu opens, click “Save to my computer”.
4. Now enter a new name for the file and click “next”, and then “next” a second time.
5. You should now be watching it being saved as a smaller size.
4 Steps using Apple iMovie:
1. Click the “File” menu, then choose “export”.
2. Click the on the options for “Compress movie for:” and choose “web” and then click “share”.
3. Give your file a name and click “save”.
4. You should now be watching your file being compressed and saved.
Why won't my video play?
The most likely reason is that the video might be encoded using a format that is not supported by the website. YouCarz uses Adobe Flash player for our standard video player. For the best viewing experience, we suggest you install the latest version of Adobe Flash after removing any old versions you've installed.
1. Temporarily disable popup blocking software installed on your computer to test.
2. Allow YouCarz.com as a trusted site in your Firewall software.
3. Ensure that other applications like QuickTime, iTunes, Real Player or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.
Why doesn't the audio in the video work?
First, please check the volume controls on your computer. (Not Kidding)
The audio might be encoded using a format that is not supported by the website.
Make sure your computer meets these standard requirements.
1. Macromedia Flash Player 7.0+ plug-in
2. Windows 2000 or higher with latest updates installed
3. Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
4. Firefox 1.1+, Internet Explorer 6.0+ or Safari 1.0+
5. Broadband connection with 500+ Kbps

Why does the video keep stopping while I'm watching it?
This is most likely due to the internet speed. To view video content on any website you will need at least 500kbps broadband connection. In some cases, the video sometimes stops if it hasn’t downloaded the current location of the video.
